- Language-Based or Non-Verbal Learning Disability
- Attention Deficit or Executive Function Disorder
- Neurological Disorder or Intellectual Disability
- Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Has a learning profile that makes traditional educational settings very challenging
- Has experienced social isolation or peer relationships which may have hindered academic progress
- Can make academic progress given time and tailored instruction
- Doesn’t have significant behavioral, psychiatric, or emotional problems
